Dr. Firouzi has a PhD in Chemical Engineering from USC and Postdoctoral in Energy Resources Engineering from Stanford University. She has an extensive research background, and was awarded as the one of best researchers at Stanford. From 2016, she started teaching STEM classes at community colleges. She was active as a faculty visitor at UC Berkeley over summers.

Mahit is currently studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at UC Berkeley, and has a strong background in teaching math and science courses at the high school and AP level for many years. Mahit has worked successfully with many students to create personalized learning plans for various subjects to receive 5s on AP Exams.
